What is Be More Dog Scotland ?

‘Training with Empathy’

Be More Dog Scotland was created at the start of 2021 by me, Kathryn Burnside (formerly of Kathy’s K9 Solutions).

Be More Dog Scotland is designed to combine the two things I love in life – working with humans and training dogs.

My goal is simple – to help humans and dogs live together in perfect harmony.

Be More Dog Scotland offers ethical training while using scientifically proven, reward-based methods.

Your dog is at the heart of everything I do.

I will do all I can to help you and your dog strengthen your relationship, have fun and understand each other.

You want a mission statement

What I offer:

  • Small, friendly group classes run from Tyninghame Village Hall
  • 1-2-1 training
  • Group and 1-2-1 training walks
  • New puppy consultations

I am fully insured and am currently working towards completing an Advanced Diploma in Applied Animal Behaviour.

Testimonials

“We would highly recommend Kathryn and her positive training techniques. Our spaniel puppy Cora thrived using all the great games to consolidate her training. Kathryn has endless patience with us humans and also a real knowledge of Cora’s personality and tailors the training to Cora. She has always been at the other end of the phone and email to support us and has been a great help. Can’t recommend her enough.”

– Eleanor, Bryan and Cora

“I would highly recommend Kathryn and her classes. I had 1-2-1 classes with our puppy and we learnt so much from Kathryn. Her insight into dogs and their behaviour is vast and combined with her calm and professional behaviour she equipped us with some great training tools. Her techniques are ones we use daily.”

– Madeleine and Maverick

“Kathryn has been coaching all of us since Molly was tiny. A session of 1:1s pre lock down gave us plenty to work on, but we were delighted to start up again with our adolescent pup! Kathryn has a natural ability to engage with both dogs and owners and makes a training session not only informative but fun. The ‘homework’ follow up means that practice is easy to keep up, and our progress has been fantastic.”

– Kate, Joe and Molly
